  • How do I book an appointment?

  • Do you take walk-ins?
    Yes, we have designated walk-in hours with one of our artists. You can view our walk-in hours on the About Page.
  • How much will my tattoo cost?
    Each artist sets their own pricing. Visit our artists page to view portfolios, hourly rates, and booking preferences.
  • Is there a shop minimum?
    Yes, the shop minimum is $150 for walk-in appointments, covering tattoos taking 1 hour or less. For tattoos over an hour, pricing is based on the artist's hourly rate, (contact the artist to learn more about their rates). Custom tattoo artists may have their own minimums; please check with your specific artist for details.
  • What is your touch-up policy?
    Each artist has their own touch-up policy, please inquire with them via their contact info on the Artist page. All walk-in tattoos are offered one free touch-up within one year of the tattoo, Exceptions may apply.
  • What should I wear to my appointment?
    Wear clothing that allows access to the tattoo area and be prepared for potential ink or stencil stains.
  • Can I shower with my new tattoo?
    We recommend showering before your tattoo appointment. Many of the artists at Bone & Blossom use derma shield bandages. These bandages work best if you can wait 24hrs before showering after the bandage is applied.
  • How long will my tattoo take?
    Your artist will provide a time estimate, but keep in mind that actual time may vary. Avoid scheduling other activities on tattoo day.
  • What about numbing cream?
    We generally discourage numbing cream use due to potential complications. Consult your artist for their preferences.
  • Should I tip?
    Tipping is customary in the tattoo industry as a gesture of appreciation for the artist's skill and time. The standard tip ranges from 15% to 30% of the total cost of the tattoo, depending on the quality of service and satisfaction.
  • When are consultations needed?
    Communicate your tattoo idea remotely with your artist, and opt for an in-person consultation if further discussion is needed. Remote discussions allow for initial idea sharing and feedback, while in-person consultations provide an opportunity for closer collaboration and finalizing details.
  • How do I prepare for my tattoo?
    Exfoliate and moisturize your skin in the week leading up to your appointment. Do not moisturize your skin the day of your appointment. Arrive showered with clean, dry skin on the day of your tattoo.
  • Long-term tattoo care tips?
    Shield from the sun with SPF. Moisturize regularly. Avoid picking or scratching. Limit water exposure. Schedule touch-ups. Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Gently exfoliate as needed.
  • How can I further support my artist?
    Engage with them on social media, consider purchasing their merchandise, and refer others to them.
  • Do you do piercings?
    We are a tattoo-only shop; piercings are not offered.
  • What's with the slippers?
    We provide slippers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for tattooing, ensuring your comfort during your visit.
