March 28th–30th, 2025 marked an exciting new milestone for us at Bone & Blossom Tattoo Studio—our very first tattoo convention! We packed up our machines, banners, merch, and good vibes to join the iconic Chicago Villain Arts Tattoo Convention, and let’s just say: it was three days of non-stop fun, artistry, and connection.

The Lineup: Representing Bone & Blossom with Style
Turning heads with their bold custom pieces, high attention to detail, and signature styles. From neo-traditional tattoos to American traditional tattoos, each artist brought their
A-game and made us proud.
The convention floor was buzzing, and our booth quickly became a go-to stop for collectors and fans of custom tattoos in Lombard IL and beyond. Watching our artists thrive in that high-energy setting was a true highlight of the weekend.

We were especially excited to reunite with Livi, who now tattoos at Dark Heart Chicago, but joined us for the weekend to represent her Bone & Blossom roots. Not only did she spend the full three days tattooing alongside us, but she also participated in an absolutely breathtaking suspension performance during the convention. Watching her take part in something so powerful and artistic was an unforgettable experience for all of us. We had so much fun together and cherished every moment of creating, laughing, and cheering each other on.
A Weekend Full of Firsts, Friendships & Future Plans
Sara, Bone & Blossom’s owner, took the weekend to network with fellow tattoo artists, shop owners, and passionate enthusiasts from around the country. She connected with some seriously inspiring creatives and came back with a notebook full of new ideas.
The Chicago Villain Arts Convention was more than just a showcase—it was a celebration of tattoo culture, artistry, and community. We met people from all walks of life, many of whom shared stories about their ink journeys, their favorite artists, and what tattoos mean to them personally.
Why It Mattered
Participating in this convention gave us the opportunity to introduce Bone & Blossom Tattoo Studio to a broader audience and share our values: providing an inclusive tattoo studio experience that’s a safe space for self-expression and connection. It’s not just about beautiful ink (although we definitely brought that!)—it’s about building a community that uplifts and empowers everyone who walks through our doors.
What’s Next?
This was just the beginning. We loved every second of our first convention and are already making plans for future events. Our hope is to keep showing up, growing, and connecting with even more people who share our love of ink and individuality.
Whether you met us at the show or are just learning about us now, we invite you to visit us in the suburbs of Chicago at our Lombard IL tattoo shop. Come see what makes our studio a welcoming tattoo environment full of heart, color, and creativity.
Follow us on Instagram to see what we’re up to next, or stop by the shop to check out our tattoo artist clothing, flash designs, and walk-in availability with artists like Lexie and Emily.
